Are you passionate about health, fitness, and helping others achieve their goals? Springwood Leisure Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our friendly team and help us make a real difference in our community.
About the Role
As Assistant Manager, you'll support the day-to-day running of the centre with a focus on our health, fitness, and sales operations. You'll help lead our fitness team, ensure our members receive excellent customer service, and play a key role in driving membership growth and community engagement.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the management team in daily operations across the leisure centre
- Overseeing fitness programmes and group exercise activities
- Promoting memberships and developing sales initiatives
- Delivering excellent customer care and supporting community wellbeing initiatives
- Supervising and motivating staff to achieve personal and team goals
- Ensuring health & safety standards are always maintained
This post may be required to lead the Derby Active brand across both Springwood Leisure Centre and Derby Arena, maximising sales and retention across both sites
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in fitness management, sales, or customer service
- Is passionate about promoting active, healthy lifestyles
- Enjoys working with people and being part of a community-focused team
- Has strong communication and leadership skills
- Holds a recognised fitness qualification (Level 2 or above preferred)
