We have an opportunity for a Law Graduate to Junior Lawyer to join our Front-End Construction team working with Darren Rankine in our Newcastle office.

About the team and the work

  • Work on high-profile construction projects, including some of Australia's largest infrastructure and building developments across sectors such as commercial, residential, mining, retail and retirement living/aged care.

  • Join a high-performing team supporting a diverse client base, including blue-chip companies, government agencies, and national property developers.

  • Focus on front-end construction and infrastructure matters, including contract drafting, procurement arrangements, legislative advisory work, and negotiation. This role involves interpreting legislative changes across Australia and providing strategic advice.

  • You will join an established and reputable team, who will support you in your development whilst working on complex and diverse matters.

About

  • You will have prior paralegal experience at a well-regarded law firm.

  • Proven interest or experience in contract based work.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.

  • You will have graduated or be graduating in December 2025 and be able to start early 2026.
