The Senior Program Specialist's role is to create exciting and engaging meetings, both in-person and virtually working with all key players including clinical trial sponsor and internal Parexel colleagues including Scientific Writers, Editorial Specialists and Meeting Logistics Team to bring together all elements of our Meetings. This includes working as a team to design an engaging meeting by developing a creative agenda with engagement tactics, key presentations, relevant supporting materials, selecting technology solutions and management of suppliers/vendors supporting the meeting.

International travel will be required

Role Details

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Specialist to join our ambitious and friendly team, delivering in-person and virtual events for our global clients. This role would ideally suit an experienced event professional and if you have experience in managing events within the pharmaceutical industry this would be advantageous.

Parexel are seeking a Senior Program Specialist for our Meeting Services Department within the Medical Communication area of our business. The Senior Program Specialist will create exciting and engaging meetings both in person and virtually to be held internationally all over the world.

  • Maintain high level of organization, working to deadlines and overall project management
  • Working with all key players including clinical trial sponsor and internal Parexel colleagues including Scientific Writers, Editorial Specialists and Meeting Logistics Team to bring together all elements of our Meetings
  • Overall budget and financial management
  • Exceptional client service management including leading client calls
  • To design an engaging meeting by developing a creative agenda with engagement tactics, key presentations, relevant supporting materials, selecting technology solutions and management of suppliers/vendors supporting the meeting
  • Maintain a positive, results orientated work environment, building partnerships and modelling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective mann

This role requires:

  • Excellent administrative skills and experience. You will need working experience in using Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Client focused approach to work and a professional business manner
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritise workload with attention to detail
  • A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learnings
  • Willing to travel Internationally
