We are looking for a Customer Architect who is highly technically proficient, an excellent communicator, and has a strong customer orientation.  This role is both customer facing and technical with a primary focus on delivering key customer features to production.  The Customer Architect builds strong relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders such as Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture.  They are confident in advising our own project team and customers on matters of design, product enhancements, optimisation, and implementation, while being commercially aware and able to make sound judgement calls.

Key ResponsibilitiesTake a leadership role within the implementation team to deliver our product per customer requirements, driving architectural decisions and best practices – delivering on budget and on timeProvides consultancy services to our customers as they use our product. Manage the customer solutions & system architecture.Translate business requirements into system level design and detailed technical architecture documents in a clear, professional mannerIdentify product enhancements required and actively inform product management of the business valueWork with our Operations team to analyse the performance of our systems in a production environment and evaluate enhancements to our product for performance and cost benefitsContribute and agree on a strategic customer roadmap in collaboration with the leadership team Contribute to the long-term development of our product suite.Identify opportunities for and drive Continuous Improvement activities. Experience RequiredCustomer Facing Experience in previous roles required.Experience with presenting at C-levelProven ability to operate within a multi-locational delivery team environment with both onsite and remote engagement.  Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.E-Commerce (retail) industry experience and/or experience in a high transaction volume or mission critical cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP)Excellent leadership and communication skillsMust be able to deliver high quality customer facing documentation. Be a self-starter, have a strong problem-solving aptitude and does not accept the status quoAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. 7+ years in application design and developmentExpert in some of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, SOA, JBoss, Tomcat, JDBC, SOAP, REST, OOD/OOA, .NET, HTML, CSS, JS, JQuery, ReactExperience working with database systems such as Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB.Must be able and willing to travel to other Datalex offices and Customer sites periodicallyKnowledge of the Airline industry is an advantage but not necessaryAbout Datalex
