Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support patients in care homes or providing home care, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their wellbeing. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Help with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Drive or accompany patients to appointments or outings when required
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all individuals under your care
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with care plans and basic IT systems for record keeping is advantageous
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential
- Driving licence is preferred to assist with transportation needs
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are important
