The Role
We're looking for a
proactive and organised Football Operations Officer
to support the delivery of grassroots football across Derbyshire.
You'll play a key part in managing County Cup competitions, supporting club and league membership, and ensuring the smooth running of football operations in line with The FA's Grassroots Football Strategy.

What You'll Do
- Lead and support the
affiliation and membership process
for clubs each season. - Administer County Cup competitions
, including entries, draws, and finals coordination. - Support with
discipline administration, player registration, and general operations
. - Provide excellent
customer service
to clubs, leagues, and referees. - Ensure compliance with
FA safeguarding and equality standards
. - Support the
sanctioning of leagues and competitions
in line with FA regulations. - Assist with
diversity and inclusion initiatives
across Derbyshire football. - Help deliver Derbyshire FA and FA National Game Strategy priorities.
About You
Essential skills & experience:
- Experience in an administrative or operational role.
- Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to inclusion, equality, safeguarding, and best practice.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of FA systems (Full-Time, Whole Game System, Platform for Football).
- Understanding of grassroots club and league structures.
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics).
