Job Title: Private Client Tax Director
Location: City of London - 2 days in the office, 3 days from home
Salary: £100,000 - £115,000 (dependent on experience) + benefits package
The Role:
As a Private Client Tax Director, you'll be integral to the team's growth, working alongside partners to deliver exceptional service while building your own client relationships and team leadership credentials. Your typical day-to-day will include:
- Managing a portfolio of sophisticated private clients with full accountability
- Deliver complex advisory work across the full spectrum of private client taxation
- Sign-off compliance work and provide technical oversight
- Handle residence, domicile, trust, and international tax matters for HNW/UHNW clients
- Manage WIP and billing commercially
- Drive business development - attend new client meetings and contribute thought leadership
- Manage and mentor direct reports on their career journeys
- Train staff on advanced private client matters
- Take ownership of new service or sector offerings
- Contribute to external articles and technical publications
The Perfect Individual:
- ACA/CA/CTA or equivalent qualification
- Proven private client tax experience gained in practice
- Deep understanding of private client tax principles across a broad range of areas
- Demonstrable ability to manage a client portfolio profitably
- Up-to-date technical expertise across multiple PC tax areas
- Exceptional communication skills - able to distill complex tax issues for non-specialists
- Strong advisory and report writing capabilities
- Excellent written English and Excel proficiency
