Role Description/Criteria

Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will:

  • have demonstrated commitment to the Catholic Ethos, the principles of Catholic teaching and living the school's vision
  • be committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children
  • possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience
  • have demonstrated capacity to promote and enact contemporary & innovative pedagogies and practices
  • embrace a collegial, respectful and positive team-based approach to teaching and learning
  • commit to the ongoing professional learning and the continuing development of a positive school culture
  • have the capacity to communicate positively and effectively with all stakeholders within a school community.

In addition, successful applicants will be expected:

  • To demonstrate a commitment to the Sacred Heart Primary School Child Safe Policy & the Staff Code of Conduct
  • Hold registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School is strongly preferred; a commitment to obtain accreditation may be considered

Salary is in accordance with the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement and available on the website
