We are hiring an experienced Network Engineer to join a global infrastructure team delivering a major multi-year transformation programme. The project involves consolidating over 500 global locations into a single, standardised, and secure network environment.
This is a hands-on engineering role involving design implementation, configuration, and operational support within a large-scale, distributed infrastructure. The role offers exposure to modern network technologies such as Aruba, Infoblox, Algosec, and VeloCloud SD-WAN, as the client transitions from legacy systems to a unified, globally consistent architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Network Build & Integration
- Implement and configure new network infrastructure across multiple international sites.
- Participate in the full lifecycle of network rollout — from planning and deployment to migration, testing, and operational handover.
- Support the integration of 590 sites into a single, standardised global network environment.
Technology Implementation
- Deploy and manage Aruba networking solutions (switching, wireless, ClearPass, AirWave).
- Configure and administer Infoblox for DNS/DHCP/IPAM.
- Utilise Algosec for firewall policy governance and network segmentation.
- Support the VeloCloud SD-WAN rollout and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain and support legacy network environments (e.g. Cisco, BlueCoat) during the transition phase.
Operational Support
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues across distributed environments.
- Work closely with internal teams and vendors to perform root-cause analysis and implement fixes.
- Contribute to operational documentation, process improvement, and network monitoring initiatives.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure all network changes and deployments adhere to global security and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with Information Security teams to maintain secure connectivity and proxy environments.
- Support the decommissioning of legacy systems as new platforms are adopted.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Partner with regional infrastructure leads and project managers to align with the global roadmap.
- Provide technical input for planning, resource estimation, and sequencing.
- Share expertise through knowledge transfer and mentoring of other network engineers.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Strong background in enterprise network engineering and operations (experience in financial services or regulated industries advantageous).
Hands-on experience with:
Aruba (switching, wireless, ClearPass, AirWave)
- Infoblox (DNS/DHCP/IPAM)
- SD-WAN, preferably VeloCloud
Algosec (firewall and security policy management)
Proven track record in large-scale network rollouts or transformation programmes.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, proxies, and load balancers.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in distributed global environments and collaborating with remote teams.
