Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the hospitality and culinary sectors. Prior experience is not essential, but a keen interest in food preparation and hospitality is desirable. Must be able to drive a van

Duties

  • Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to maintain hygiene standards
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
  • Supporting the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, appliances, and floors to uphold cleanliness standards
  • Restocking supplies and ensuring all kitchen areas are organised and tidy
  • Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in line with health and safety regulations
  • Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure efficient operation
  • Adhering to all health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential
  • Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations is a plus
  • Experience in serving or working within a hospitality setting can be beneficial
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within the culinary industry
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
