The Offshore Wind Directorate works across government and the Scottish public sector to deliver offshore renewables in Scotland at a scale and pace which is sustainable and transformational for Scotland's Net Zero ambition, citizens, communities, environment and economy. 

This is an opportunity for a policy official with strong analytical and collaboration skills to influence one of the Scottish Government's most high-profile commitments – our strategic investment of up to £500 million over five years, which is expected to leverage additional private investment of £1.5 billion in the infrastructure and manufacturing facilities critical to growing the sector. As Offshore Wind Investment Information Manager, you will provide the intelligence, evidence and cross-sector coordination required to support effective policy design and implementation. Your work will inform decision-making, support risk management, and enable a coherent approach to delivering infrastructure and supply chain investment - helping to secure substantial private investment and drive Scotland's progress towards net zero.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities
  • Provide logistical support including planning, commissioning, coordination, and overseeing arrangements to support delivery of the Offshore Wind Investment Programme.
  • Assist with regular reporting to governance groups, including meeting organisation, preparing papers, monitoring risks, and following up actions.
  • Evaluate and monitor progress of investment projects, handling, managing and analysing data from delivery partners.
  • Develop a consistent approach to collaboration with delivery partners to maximise opportunities and economic benefits for Scotland.
  • Contribute to business, risk and financial planning for workstreams.
  • Deliver core government business in the policy area including FOIs, FMQs, PQs, correspondence, and media queries.
