Joining our team on a full time basis, you will be working 22.5 hours per week, across 3 days.

Cygnet Hospital Bierley:
At Cygnet Bierley, you'll have the chance to progress your career as part of a dynamic, supportive team. You will be joining at team of Psychologists including Psychology Assistants, Trainees, and other Qualified staff to work collaboratively to offer specialised assessments and interventions across the site.
The role:
We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Psychologist to support the team to deliver a high standard of care. Experience working with individuals with Mental Illness, Personality Disorder, and Complex Trauma is preferred.You will be supported with regular supervision as well as have opportunities for further training in psychological assessments and treatments, such as schema therapy, DBT or EMDR.
We are looking for someone who is…
- A HCPC registered Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist with experience in a clinical forensic or mental health setting
- Trained in delivering psychological therapies
- Preferably has experience of completing functioning, well-being and risk assessments
- Passionate about working with people with a range of complex mental health needs and working in a trauma informed way
- Capable of treating difficulties such as self-harm, physical & verbal aggression, history of sexual offending and drug & alcohol problems.
- You'll be working 22.5 hours a week (working days to be agreed with successful candidate)
- Competitive salary: Up to £31,832 DOE
- Work as a team Psychologist within a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
- Carry out psychological assessments & provide therapy to individuals & groups
- Collaboratively develop care plans with the MDT
- Provide training & supervision to colleagues, & consultation to teams
- Evaluate the service, contribute to its development & carry out clinical research
- Strong career progression opportunities into management roles , including access to the Cygnet Consultant Psychologist pathway (if eligible)
- Expert clinical supervision & peer support & support with CPD opportunities
