An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering and technology manufacturer within their R&D team. The role will suit someone with a strong foundation in mechanical design who enjoys solving complex engineering problems, working collaboratively, and contributing to the development of innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:


• Design and develop mechanical components in line with internal engineering standards and project requirements


• Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and supporting documentation


• Support PCB layout design in collaboration with electrical and senior mechanical engineers


• Evaluate new designs for manufacturability, reliability, and compliance with company standards


• Prepare detailed test reports and maintain clear, accurate engineering records


• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team

Skills and Experience Required:


• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline


• Experience in a similar engineering or manufacturing environment


• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD design and mechanical prototyping


• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and design for manufacture


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail


• Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
