Are you an experienced Team Manager looking for a new opportunity in a dynamic and supportive working environment?
West Berkshire Council is seeking a Team Manager to join the Children & Family Services team, reporting to the Service Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to children and families in the West Berkshire area.
About the Role
As Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Service Manager in the overall management and leadership of the team. You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the effective delivery of services to children and families
- Managing and supervising a team of dedicated professionals
- Overseeing the assessment and intervention processes
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and statutory requirements
- Contributing to service development and improvement initiatives
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Significant experience working within children's services, with a strong understanding of the challenges and issues faced by children and families
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and statutory requirements
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands
