As a Shop Assistant at Samsic UK, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of customer service while dealing with a range of shop related tasks. In this customer-facing role, you'll assist our valued customers with their retail needs, ranging from queries concerning product availability to handling purchases and complaints. Your role is vital to maintaining the reputation of our store and increasing revenues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and directing customers around the store
  • Handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues they face
  • Monitoring and maintaining an inventory of stock and placing orders when needed
  • Assisting with the unpacking and restocking of items
  • Processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Ensuring that the store is clean, tidy, and visually appealing
  • Familiarising yourself with product information to provide helpful and accurate advice to customers
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Good numeracy skills for handling transactions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
  • Basic IT skills to operate a cash register and card machines
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
