Job Summary:

CarGem is looking for a dependable and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team on the evening shift. This position focuses on general vehicle servicing and minor repairs on both petrol and diesel vehicles. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work and is committed to keeping vehicles running safely and smoothly.

Shift Details:

  • Monday to Friday: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Every other Saturday: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general vehicle servicing, including oil and filter changes, tyre checks, and fluid top-ups
  • Perform minor repairs on petrol and diesel engines
  • Inspect and service brakes, suspension, and tyres
  • Conduct basic diagnostic checks and report any issues
  • Keep the workspace clean and follow all safety procedures
  • Communicate clearly with customers and team members about service needs and updates

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience as an automotive mechanic or technician in a workshop or garage
  • Solid understanding of petrol and diesel vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to work independently on routine servicing and basic repairs
  • Comfortable using common automotive tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Welding or bodywork experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and a professional attitude
