Podcast & Video Editor

Bristol, Bristol, United Kingdom LRB Full time

Here's the situation

We're LRB, a three-person video agency in Bristol that's punching well above its weight. We make B2B brand films, podcast series, and docu-style corporate content for clients who actually care about storytelling.

Right now, we're at that exciting/slightly terrifying stage where we've got more brilliant work than we can handle. Which means it's time to grow the team.

We need a Video Editor.
Someone who loves the rhythm of a good podcast edit, doesn't mind the occasional corporate talking head, and wants to be part of something that's still small enough to feel like
yours
.

What you'd actually be doing

You'll be working alongside Rob, our Post Production Lead, turning rushes into finished stories. Some days that's a slick podcast episode with killer pacing. Other days it's logging selects for a bigger commercial project. And occasionally, it's jumping on a shoot to deliver content on the day.

The work breaks down like this:

Editing podcast series (both the long-form episodes and those snappy vertical cutdowns for social). Compiling selects and logging footage for our larger projects (yes, we know it's not the most glamorous bit, but it matters). Joining shoots when needed (sometimes with an overnight stay in Liverpool, sometimes in Berlin; we'll warn you in advance). Keeping our projects organised, backed up, and not turning into a digital wasteland. Using AI tools to strip out the boring bits and free up time for the creative stuff. Coming into our Bristol office regularly for briefs, reviews, and the occasional spontaneous creative debate.

It's a mix. Some of it's methodical. Some of it's creative. All of it matters.

Required skills

You're probably a
mid-level editor
who's done this for a few years now and knows your way around Premiere Pro without needing to Google every shortcut. If you've got After Effects skills too, great (but it's not a dealbreaker).

More importantly:

You've got a storytelling instinct, especially in B2B or corporate content (we know, not everyone does). You're the kind of person who listens to podcasts and mentally edits them while walking the dog. You're comfortable working independently at home, but you
like
coming in for the collaborative bits. You're organised enough that you won't lose our footage, but human enough that you won't judge us when we occasionally do. You're genuinely curious about AI tools and how they can make editing less tedious and more creative. The idea of jumping on a shoot now and then sounds fun, not exhausting.

Essential:

  • Proven experience editing in Premiere Pro
  • Strong understanding of pacing and storytelling in B2B/corporate content
  • Comfortable with hybrid working (independence at home, collaboration in office)
  • Organised approach to file management and project workflow
  • Willing to travel occasionally for shoots (UK and abroad)

Bonus points:

  • After Effects knowledge
  • Experience editing podcast content
  • Familiarity with AI editing tools

Benefits

The honest version:

We're small. Like, really small. Just three of us right now. That means no bureaucracy, no weird office politics, and no waiting weeks for feedback. But it also means we're still figuring some things out as we grow.

What we
have
nailed is the culture. We're building something where people feel trusted, valued, and genuinely enjoy coming to work. We celebrate good work. We don't do Sunday night dread. And we're committed to making sure this stays a place where creativity and life outside work can both thrive.

The practical version:

Around £30,000 per year salary. Hybrid working (edit from home when you need focus, come to our Spike Island office in Bristol for collaboration, usually weekly). Top-spec MacBook Pro and everything else you need to do great work. 28 days holiday including bank holidays (standard UK, nothing fancy but nothing stingy either). Shoots away (sometimes overnight, sometimes abroad, always with proper notice). Relaxed, lifestyle-focused environment built on trust rather than timesheets.
