Job Summary

We are seeking 3 dedicated and experienced Room Leaders to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring high standards of childcare, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. The Room Leader will play a vital part in supporting the team to deliver exceptional early childhood education and care, fostering positive relationships with children and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support team members during shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations
  • Lead by example in delivering high-quality childcare aligned with organisational policies and standards
  • Coordinate activities and programmes suitable for children's developmental needs
  • Maintain safety protocols and ensure the environment is secure and hygienic at all times
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies regarding children's progress and any concerns
  • Assist in planning educational activities that promote early childhood development
  • Manage daily administrative tasks including record keeping, attendance, and reporting
  • Drive organisational initiatives to improve service delivery and staff performance

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or nursery environments
  • Knowledge of child development principles and childcare regulations
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills
  • Experience with children's behaviour management strategies is advantageous
  • Organised, reliable, and able to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
