FX Sales Senior Associate

Financial Markets Department covers both trading book and banking book activities for Bank of China London Branch and Bank of China (UK) Limited. As a FX Sales Senior Associate, you will be responsible for developing local clients FX, rates, options, commodity and other derivative business. You will promote and cross sell the Bank's products to achieve flows and profits meeting the Bank's targets. This is a full time permanent position.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute business development strategy for Financial Markets business under Head Office and Bank of China London's business strategy
  • Collaborate with relationship managers and product partners to determine new opportunities to bundle existing products and/or drive new cross-selling in response to local client needs
  • Generate markets derivative revenue and volume growth for a portfolio of existing and potential customers
  • Support client on boarding and ISDA negotiation and signing
  • Handle all flows from financial markets customers and in conjunction with London Trading Centre provide pricing, execute and book derivative transactions
  • Undertake market research and client pitch materials
  • Conduct regular business analysis, report and application as required by Head Office or Management in English or Chinese
  • Assist in system changes and upgrades
  • Review and complete all relevant administrative documentation such as end of day trade reports and liaise with various supporting tasks as required

Requirements

  • Degree educated in Banking, Finance or Economics
  • Relevant professional qualification as required i.e. PRA/FCA Registered Exams or Exemptions or willingness to undertake relevant qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in relevant business area
  • Knowledge of financial markets products and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Highly organised
  • Able to multi-task and to work in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
