Overview

We are looking for an experienced, talented and enthusiastic Butcher with excellent knife skills. All carcass meat no boxed so experience essential.

We are a very busy shop so you will need to work at speed and on your own initiative. The Successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meat cuts, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and supporting the overall day to day butchery operations.

Role Involves:

  • Preparing and cutting meat to customer specifications
  • Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
  • Managing customer orders efficiently
  • Monitoring stock levels and equipment
  • Advising customers on cuts and cooking methods
  • Preparing counter displays to a high standard

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years' butchery experience
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and handling
  • Familiarity with a wide range of meat cuts
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A passion for butchery and pride in your work
  • Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP or equivalent certifications is desirable

Pay rates to be discussed with candidate depending on experience, full time hours may also be considered for the right applicant.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £20,139.91-£23,400.00 per year
