Waitress/Barista

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Handle customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including cleaning equipment and work surfaces regularly.
• Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
• Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately using cash or card systems.
• Restock supplies as needed to ensure the smooth running of the café during shifts.
• Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment, promoting products and specials when appropriate.

Experience

• Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
• Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment helps ensure excellent service delivery.
• Basic skills in food preparation are beneficial for supporting kitchen tasks when necessary.
• Good time management skills are essential to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
• Ability to perform basic maths accurately for handling transactions and measuring ingredients. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
