Gas Manager – Barnsley

Full-Time | Responsive Maintenance Contract

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Gas Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a busy responsive maintenance contract in the Barnsley area. You will manage a team of schedulers and gas engineers, ensuring compliance, quality, and high performance across all areas of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily running of the gas servicing and repairs contract, supported by an established team of schedulers and engineers.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant gas safety legislation and internal operating procedures.
  • Manage quality control across internal teams and subcontractors delivering gas works.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for ongoing gas-related tasks and projects.
  • Monitor and drive team productivity to ensure all KPIs and performance targets are met.

What We're Looking For

  • A valid Domestic Gas Qualification.
  • Proven experience managing or supervising a gas contract.
  • Strong knowledge of gas legislation, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • SMSTS certification is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
