We are recruiting for a Care Assistant to support a busy care home with flexible hours, alternate weekends', and an opportunity to make a real difference.

Location
: The service's premises, but you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice.

Role-specific Duties

  • Ensure that residents are at the heart of care delivery, respecting their wishes and preferences to enhance their wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the efficient running of the service.
  • Support residents to maintain relationships and connections with their local community.
  • Follow care plans and other supporting information regarding residents.
  • Inform the Senior Care Assistant/Nurse of any changes in a residents needs.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of those being supported.

  • Develop effective working relationships with colleagues within the service.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for residents.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with residents loved ones.

Qualifications

  • Good English (written and verbal).

Skills

  • Proficient written skills to maintain care plans and care records in line with service policy.
  • Communication skills to build rapport with residents, communicate effectively with them, and inform colleagues, management, and professionals about their needs.
  • Problem-solving skills to adapt to and address situations quickly, develop solutions, and recognise/report situations requiring protection.
  • Ability to assist residents with daily tasks by following their care plan, this may include bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom.

  • Previous experience is not required.
