Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The successful candidate will be involved in various food preparation tasks, ensuring a clean and organised kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in catering, cooking, and food safety within a dynamic setting. The Kitchen Assistant will play a vital role in assisting chefs and kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations and uphold our standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, following established recipes and safety guidelines
  • Support the cleaning and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
  • Help with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Serve meals to customers or staff as directed, maintaining professional service standards
  • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment throughout shifts

Experience

  • Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or similar food service roles is desirable but not essential
  • Familiarity with cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food safety practices is advantageous
  • Experience working in a busy kitchen environment or with culinary teams will be beneficial
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene standards and safety regulations is preferred
  • Enthusiasm for learning new skills within the culinary field is highly valued
