Trinity House Group are working with a well-established and growing manufacturing business headquartered in the West Midlands, supplying high-quality engineered products to customers across the UK and international markets. The Role

As Finance Director you'll lead the company and group finance function, ensuring rigorous financial control, clear reporting, and strong cash/working capital management. You'll be a key partner to the MD and leadership team, shaping strategy, improving performance, and enabling sustainable growth.

Key accountabilities

  • Own financial accounting, UK GAAP reporting, statutory compliance, audit and tax (VAT, corporation tax, HMRC).
  • Maintain robust internal controls, governance, FX exposure oversight and risk management.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and board reporting; provide insight on performance, risks and opportunities.
  • Drive working capital optimisation and cashflow visibility to support investment and operational stability.
  • Use data and technology to improve reporting, automate processes and challenge performance.
  • Partner commercial and operational teams on pricing, margin, investment cases and expansion into new markets.
  • Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing finance team and positive culture.

What you'll bring

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified.
  • Extensive senior finance experience, ideally in manufacturing/industrial environments.
  • Strong UK GAAP, audit and regulatory knowledge; confident with FX and multi-currency exposure.
  • Track record in cashflow/working capital improvement and commercial business partnering.
  • Advanced Excel and strong ERP capability (Dynamics, SAP, Oracle or similar).
  • Clear, decisive leader with high standards and a continuous-improvement mindset.
