The Company
AE Live is a global leader in delivering data-rich sports graphics to Tier 1 broadcasters on some of the world's most prestigious sporting events. Our work spans global tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup, ICC Cricket World Cup, Rugby World Cup, and Premier League football, as well as thousands of hours of sport every year across five continents – reaching billions of viewers worldwide.
We are committed to constant innovation and excellence and, as we expand, we are looking to strengthen our teams with individuals who share our passion for sports and cutting-edge broadcast technology.
Overview
We are seeking a Broadcast Engineer to work within our Engineering team to build, support and maintain our broadcast graphics systems. The role will be a mix of both on-base and on-site technical support and you may be required to provide technical support on live, world-class sporting events.

This is typically high-end workstations and the supporting infrastructure which can include control PCs, vision routers, monitors, talkback, KVM systems, etc.
As much of our services are PC-based, good IT skills are essential, such as installing and updating drivers, imaging systems, building PCs, solid networking skills and, increasingly, cloud infrastructure.
The work schedule is typically office hours but will at times be according to the sporting calendar, so can involve weekends, evenings and international travel, so flexibility is essential.
You will also be required to provide technical support to our growing centralised graphic operation based in our Hemel Hempstead facility.

- Ability to solder and terminate various connectors (RJ45, BNC, XLR, etc).
Desirable:
- Technical degree, preferably in Broadcast Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience with SMPTE 2110.
