JOB TITLE: Android Engineer

SALARY: £47,790 - £60,000

LOCATION: Bristol

HOURS: 35 hours, full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Bristol office.

Our digital platforms (public website, mobile & tablet app, and internet banking website) are where the majority of customer and colleague interactions with the bank take place. What you'll need...
  • Professional hands-on experience and working knowledge in designing a mobile experience for variable screen sizes in variable versions of Android
  • Good knowledge of Android SDK, Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Good knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks and benchmarking and optimisation
  • Proficient in Google's Android design principles, interface guidelines and code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Modularisation
  • Jetpack Compose
  • Coroutines
  • SOLID principles with Clean Code Architecture
  • MVVM and MVI Architecture
  • Unit Test
