Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in preparing and maintaining high-quality food service. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
  • Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
  • Handle food safely during preparation and storage to prevent contamination
  • Help with meal assembly and plating for service
  • Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies to minimize waste
  • Support catering events or special functions as needed
  • Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment

Skills

  • Experience in cooking, food preparation, or food service is preferred
  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic culinary techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of the food industry and catering operations
