Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

Are you a Maths graduate looking to work as a Maths Tutor in a secondary school?

A school in Wandsworth is looking to appoint a Maths Tutor from September. This Maths Tutor role is ideal for graduates who want to gain first-hand classroom experience before applying for teacher training.

As a Maths Tutor, you will support students with numeracy, problem-solving, and exam preparation. You will run small group sessions, provide one-to-one support, and help teachers prepare engaging resources. This role will allow you to see how students learn best and how teachers manage progress in Maths at both KS3 and KS4.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils during Maths lessons
  • Running small intervention groups in numeracy and problem-solving
  • Supporting students preparing for GCSE exams
  • Helping teachers with lesson planning and resources
  • Tracking and reporting on pupil progress

We're looking for:

  • A UK degree at 2:1 or above in Maths or a related subject
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • An interest in education and working with young people
  • Commitment to the full academic year

Please note: This role is only open to applicants with a UK undergraduate degree. Overseas degrees, even with a UK Master's, cannot be considered. Applicants must also have UK citizenship or the right to work.
