We are currently recruiting for a QC Microbiologist to join the Quality Control team. The purpose of this role is to test and report on raw materials, intermediates, sterility testing of finished products, the manufacturing environment and stability samples to enable product release and meet regulatory requirements.
Your responsibilities in this role would be:
Testing and reporting on raw materials, intermediates, finished products and the manufacturing environment to enable product release to meet regulatory requirementsTesting includes environmental monitoring, bioburden (membrane filtration) and endotoxin testing (LAL), sterility testing (within isolator), microbial identification, growth promotion testing, operator qualification and media qualification testingPerforming aseptic fill finish processing microbiological testing activitiesParticipating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance working practicesSupporting internal audits to maintain and improve Quality systemsMaintaining stock control of QC test materials for use within the Microbiology Lab and Production areasCo-ordinating microbiology OOS/OOT results to help identify contributory factors and assign root causeReviewing and updating departmental documentationSupporting Senior Microbiologist and QC Manager with training of new staffReporting to Team LeadWe are looking for:
HND/Degree level in Microbiology or related subjectThorough understanding of microbiological test methods and their application in OXBExperience with sterility testing of finished productsUnderstanding of microbiological identification techniques and their useRelevant industrial/laboratory experience in Microbiology testing and techniquesBasic knowledge of cGMPFlexibility to work shifts covering the hours from 07.00am to 03.00am Mon-FriAbout Us:
