Overview

We are seeking a reliable and consciencious Part-Time / Adhoc, Parts Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of parts to various locations, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered in excellent condition. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage heavy lifting as part of the delivery process.

The business operates between Mon-Thu and Fri, with working hours varying from week to week to meet the needs of the business.

Ideal for a semi-retired / retired person seeking an additional income.

Duties

  • Safely operate a van or delivery vehicle to transport parts to designated locations.
  • Load and unload parts, ensuring that all items are secured and protected during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any discrepancies or issues encountered.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Assist in the Parts Dept as needed, including inventory management and organisation of parts.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience.
  • Strong driving skills with a valid UK driver's licence.
  • Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently, demonstrating physical fitness for the role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and customers effectively.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Salary: £12.21ph. Zero Hour Contract.
