What You'll Do
Actemium Automation Peterborough, part of VINCI Energies, are seeking a Senior Controls Systems Engineer who is passionate about technology, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is ready to make an impact.

*Your day-to-day will include:*

• Develop PLC, HMI and SCADA software.
• Produce design and test documentation.
• Complete software acceptance tests for internal and external stakeholders.
• Carry out software control panel and system testing.
• Complete on-site commissioning (UK and international travel).
• Complete on-site customer training and operational support.
• Actively participates in the whole life cycle of delivering projects, from start to finish.
• Foster great relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

What You Bring: Essential Skills & Experience in Automation Software Engineering

• Previous hands-on experience in software design, integration and commissioning of control systems.
• Considerable experience in PLC and HMI/SCADA development. (Rockwell, Siemens).
• Good understanding of setting up, commissioning, and fault finding of industrial networks (EthernetIP, Profibus, ProfiNet, Ethernet).
• Demonstrable knowledge of industrial networking, instrumentation, safety systems, and control philosophies.
• Strong documentation skills with attention to detail in functional and detailed design specifications.
• Proven ability to lead or mentor within engineering project teams, encouraging best practice and ongoing professional development.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, controls engineering, software engineering, or related field.
