What We Do

We provide a fully client-based, serviced approach to property investment. Our model involves acquiring properties from the open market, renovating them to a set standard, passing them to our lettings department for management, and reselling them to investors.

All functions are carried out in-house — from Property Surveying and Renovations to Lettings, Legal, and Sales & Marketing.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Damp Specialist to work for the renovations and maintenance departments

You will take ownership of work on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters. You will also operate within company Health and Safety guidelines and remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of your skill areas. Typical work will comprise of empty properties that require full refurbishment.

As a skilled operative, you will be expected to have a multitude of skills to enable you to perform your tasks. We will expect the candidate to have a background in joinery. Roofing, plumbing and plastering are desirable skills.

You must be practical and capable of producing consistent high-quality work where needed and completing general building and maintenance tasks efficiently.

We are looking for someone who can show initiative, can communicate well with Office staff and customers and completes jobs to a good standard. All applicants must have a valid driving license, own van and tools

Requirements

  • Carry out site survey to identify source and type of damp (rising damp, penetrating damp, condensation).
  • Use moisture meters, hygrometers, salt analysis, and thermal imaging where necessary.
  • Prepare site-specific risk assessments & method statements (RAMS).
  • Confirm material specifications for works required (e.g., chemical DPC cream, membrane type, waterproof render mix).
  • Compliance with relevant British Standards, PCA Codes of Practice, and manufacturer's guidance.
  • Ensure all treated areas are fully protected against future moisture ingress.
  • Protect floors, furniture, and surrounding finishes.
  • Drill injection holes and install chemical DPC (per BS 6576 and manufacturer's instructions).
  • Install cavity drain membranes or slurry/tanking systems as specified.
  • Apply waterproof render base coats and salt-resistant finishing plasters.
  • Seal wall-floor junctions with waterproof jointing systems where required.
  • Ventilate work areas to ensure safe curing and to reduce condensation risk.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and tidy work areas.
  • Ensure waste disposal arrangements comply with regulations.
  • Provide warranties/guarantees for products and workmanship.
  • Supply completion photos and final moisture test results.
