I'm working on behalf of a fantastic special school in Wiltshire that is looking for a ASD teacher to join the team from September in leading a KS1 class of wonderful students. The school have gone through incredibly exciting developments recently so there has been no better time to join them

All students at the school have EHCP's with ASD. Having placed a number of candidates with this school over the years, I can confidently say how rewarding candidates find the work at this school and how well supported they feel by other staff members.

The role

This role will be leading a class of 8 KS1 students with complex ASD, where you will be ably supported by a team of 3 lovely TA's. You will be expected to confidently lead the class following the primary curriculum as well as prepare your own lessons (minimal marking involved), there will be adequate PPA time provided.

Due to the needs of the students it is essential that you feel confident working with ASD, preferably complex ASD. QTS is also preferred but the school are open to applications from strong unqualified teachers (special school experience).
