We're hiring for an ER Manager on a permanent basis. Joining the HR team at Compare the Market, you will play a key role in embedding our values, behaviours and culture through the management, and effective resolution, of ER cases.

Responsible for ensuring the full range of ER cases, disputes and grievances are resolved promptly and in line with our risk appetite; and organisational design and change projects are delivered in a way which maintains a positive working environment and minimises disruption.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Using a hands-on case management approach, oversee and manage both low and high-risk ER cases at pace, ensuring timely progress and resolution, ensuring risk is managed within appetite
  • Working with the Head of HR Operations and Senior HR Business Partners to deliver the ER ways of working, Organisational Design and Change projects and be the HR lead on change conversations and activity
  • Be the driver in resolving workplace conflicts, ensuring fair treatment of people, and fostering positive relationships.
  • Consulting with external legal advisors on Employment Tribunal cases and managing risk effectively
  • Upskill manager capability through a hands on, coaching approach and delivering training on ER topics such as disciplinary, grievance, performance management, sickness absence & relevant employment law
  • Maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, people managers and senior stakeholders, offering proactive support and guidance on ER matters

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience in managing ER cases and change projects, inc. grievance, disciplinary, capability, and performance management, in Financial Services or Tech industries
  • Ability to deliver at pace in a commercial, high performance culture
  • Expert knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practice
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Persuasive communication skills, with the ability to advise, coach, influence, and build credible relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including Senior Leadership
