SVP, Global Digital Marketing

London

Your Mission

We're looking to bring on a SVP of Global Digital Marketing to lead at the intersection of culture, technology, and creativity.

BMG's global marketing team is digitally native, insight-driven, and built for what's next. We drive impact across all touchpoints — from social storytelling and audience growth to CRM, paid media, and global activations — with innovation and agility at the core. This team is fully integrated with our advertising, data, and tech ecosystems, and partners closely with artists, managers, platforms, and internal stakeholders across content, commerce, and analytics to architect campaigns that scale globally.

We're also building for the future with a focus on AI-native marketing strategies and deeper collaboration across Bertelsmann's verticals — from media to publishing — unlocking unique creative and commercial opportunities for our artists.

Are you a fast learner and an adaptable team leader, keen to be part of the world's fastest growing music company and eager to grow into a constantly changing environment? Then this might be for you

What You'll Be Doing

Lead a best-in-class digital marketing team:

  • Own the global digital marketing, audience development, and performance strategy — driving bold, insight-led execution across paid media, CRM, social, and emerging platforms.
  • Recruit, develop, and elevate top-tier talent. Foster a high-performance culture grounded in innovation, creative experimentation, data fluency, and AI-native thinking — with a focus on building what's next.
  • Push boundaries through AI-forward marketing, new platform partnerships, and collaboration across Bertelsmann's verticals — unlocking value and cultural relevance for our artists.

Build Global Brands Through Localized Audience Strategy:

  • Partner directly with artists and their teams to bring creative visions to life — aligning marketing strategy with artistic intent and brand identity.
  • Translate artist narratives into compelling campaign concepts that resonate across formats, platforms, and global audiences.
  • Champion the artist's voice in every execution — from content development to media placement — ensuring authenticity and emotional connection.
  • Break new artists by building unforgettable campaigns that spark discovery, create cultural relevance, and turn casual listeners into lifelong fans — blending creative instinct with platform-native execution.
  • Grow and reimagine catalog through culturally resonant campaigns, content series, and brand development — creating new entry points for fans and sustaining long-term engagement with legacy repertoire
  • Design and execute global strategies that scale audience growth, performance marketing, and operational excellence — tightly aligned with artist development and commercial goals.
  • Position BMG as a leader in digital audience marketing through bold innovation, platform fluency, and measurable impact — building a reputation for creative and data-driven execution.
  • Collaborate closely with DSP teams, regional/local teams, and platform partners to align campaign execution with global release strategies, ensuring consistency, adaptability, and breakthrough results.
  • Maintain deep fluency in the evolving marketing landscape — from algorithmic trends and creator culture to AI-powered fan targeting and new format innovation.

Reporting:

  • Define and track KPIs that measure campaign performance, audience growth, and marketing ROI — translating results into clear, actionable insights.
  • Monitor social, streaming, and paid media metrics to identify what's working and what's not — optimizing in real time to drive impact.
  • Report monthly revenue performance against goals, highlighting trends, opportunities, and risks to guide strategic decisions.

What You Bring

  • Extensive senior-level experience in music, entertainment, or a world-class brand — with a deep understanding of cultural relevance, audience connection, and global marketing execution.
  • Keen to lead the transformation of our paid media approach by integrating AI-powered solutions that automate and optimize the advertising lifecycle—from creative generation to audience targeting and performance analysis.
  • Deep understanding of audience diversity — skilled in developing tailored campaigns that reflect differences in location, language, culture, and consumption behavior across global markets.
  • Strong relationships and proven track record of success with key social and digital platforms (e.g. TikTok, Meta, Roblox, Reddit…etc.) — with a history of securing platform support and driving campaign innovation.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high performing teams as well as partner relationships.
  • First class written and verbal communication, with outstanding interpersonal and networking skills.

Now What's In It For You?

  • 25 days pro-rated annual leave, plus 3 days between Christmas & New Year and an extra day for your birthday
  • Flexible working opportunities.
  • Subsidised gym membership.
  • Private Health Insurance.
  • Competitive pension scheme.
  • All parents, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, will receive 6 months of fully paid parental leave.
  • Annual gig allowance.
  • Artist showcases.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Season Ticket Loan
  • Workplace Nursery Scheme
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Give As You Earn Scheme.
