As a Strategy Director at MRM
you'll play a pivotal role in shaping transformative solutions for our clients, with a blend of experience strategy, CRM and communications planning. You'll work at the intersection of business, culture, and technology, leading strategic thinking across accounts, developing impactful communications strategies, and crafting experiences that drive meaningful connections between brands and people

The Role
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic thinking on large-scale, complex experience transformation engagements.
  • Help define experience visions and product strategies which turn opportunity into new digital experiences.
  • Develop CRM and communications strategies targeted to both B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including Creative, Data, Technology, UX, and Business Leadership—to craft innovative solutions that deliver measurable impact.
  • Design customer journeys that identify jobs to be done, moments that matter, and barriers to overcome across emotional, functional, and cultural needs.
  • Translate insights into compelling briefs, messaging matrices, and tactical plans that link business objectives to meaningful customer touchpoints.
  • Identify opportunities to creatively capture and activate 0- and 1st-party data.
  • Activate CRM strategies with martech and automation platforms (e.g., Adobe, Salesforce) and continuously optimize performance through testing, analysis, and best practices.
  • Partner with senior clients and agency leadership to set vision, align teams, and represent strategy at the highest level.
  • Manage, mentor, and inspire strategists to improve their craft and grow their careers.
  • Contribute to MRM's IP, thought leadership, and future-facing strategy offering.

About You

  • You are an experienced strategic leader who thrives in the details while keeping sight of the big picture. You bring curiosity, collaboration, and bold thinking to solve complex client challenges.
  • Key Qualifications
  • 8–10+ years of strategy or consulting experience in an agency or consultancy environment.
  • Strong expertise in CRM, communications planning, and digital experience strategy.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing marketing and digital strategies that drive business growth.
  • Core consulting skills, including research design, insight development, workshop facilitation, and storytelling.
  • Ability to mine culture, category dynamics, and audience behaviours to distill actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology platforms (Adobe, Salesforce, etc.) and an understanding of performance measurement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to simplify the complex and inspire teams and clients alike.
  • Experience managing and coaching junior strategists.
  • A collaborative spirit, adaptability, and optimism to find the right answer.
