Job Summary

The Stanton Laboratory in the Center for Genomic Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, is seeking highly motivated post-doctoral Fellow candidates. The Stanton Laboratory develops and harnesses advanced bioengineered brain models to identify potential therapeutic strategies, coupling models to AI-driven approaches, while advancing precision medicine approaches and developing technologies for drug delivery to the brain to further facilitate translation. The new hire will be appointed as a Research Fellow at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Research Fellow at the Harvard Medical School.

The Post-Doctoral Fellow will develop and leverage next generation 3D iPSC-derived multicellular brain models for analyzing pathologies via multi-omics, drug testing, and AI-coupling. The Post-Doctoral fellow will be situated in the MGH under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Alice Stanton

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have received (or expect to receive soon) a Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Neuroscience, Bioengineering, or related field.

  • First (or co-first) author of one or more high impact peer-reviewed scientific publications

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to work both independently and in a team

  • Expertise in iPSC culture, differentiation, and 3D co-cultures.

  • Expertise in cellular/molecular techniques including scRNAseq, FACS, IHC, ELISA, PCR, and confocal microscopy.

  • Background in neurodegenerative disease modeling, ideally ALS or related pathologies.

  • Expertise in genetic engineering, including designing and optimizing genetic cassettes.

  • Strong analytical skills for phenotypic data interpretation and assay optimization.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced research environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with organ-on-chip development and high-content screening in organoids.

  • Experience with drug screening, pharmacology, ADMET profiling.

  • Experience with computational analysis of multi-omic data.

  • Experience with AI frameworks: NLP, GNN, RL, etc.

  • Familiarity with ALS patient cell repositories (e.g., NINDS, MGB).

  • Knowledge of AI frameworks.
