What we are looking for:

We're seeking a technically sharp, production-savvy Pipeline TD who thrives at the intersection of creative and technical problem-solving. You'll work closely with both technical support and production teams to build, maintain, and enhance pipeline tools that make our workflows smoother, faster, and more scalable. You'll be equally comfortable diving into Python code, troubleshooting Linux systems, and collaborating with creative teams to solve complex production challenges.

Responsibilities:

Pipeline Development & Maintenance

  • Build and deploy tools, tie-ins, and integrations that streamline production workflows

  • Update and improve existing tools to meet evolving production needs

  • Deliver secure, efficient, and well-documented standalone tools

Production & Technical Support

  • Provide hands-on technical support for production, including troubleshooting and debugging

  • Work directly with creative teams to resolve technical challenges in active projects

  • Maintain redundancy and operational stability within the US and UK technical support function

Collaboration & Scaling

  • Partner with production to design and deploy tools that align with KPIs and long-term goals

  • Contribute to the development of integrations for client pipelines

  • Ensure smooth communication between technical and creative stakeholders

Qualifications:

Must-haves

  • Understanding of the film post-production pipeline

  • Proficiency in Python

  • Awareness of security requirements when handling sensitive media

  • Experience using Linux systems and delivering Linux system-level support

  • Knowledge of filesystems, permissions, disk management, and Linux interfacing

  • Experience managing software lifecycle, production releases, version control (e.g. Git), and automated builds

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and debugging skills in a production environment

  • Proven experience in a support setting

  • Ability to discuss technical issues with creative users

  • Familiarity with production/content management and versioning systems (e.g. ShotGrid, Ftrack)

Bonus points for:

  • Competency with web development frameworks (e.g. Flask, FastAPI)

  • Experience with common film image pipeline libraries (e.g. OTIO, OIIO, OCIO)

  • Proficiency with DCC-specific APIs (e.g. Nuke, Resolve)

  • Understanding of film color pipeline, including ACES workflows

  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)

Interview Process:

At Flawless, our team and interview process want to help you show your best self. We'll dive into past projects and simulate working together.

Our interview process is three rounds with some casual Zoom (or in-person) coffee in between to get to know each other:

- Recruiting Screen: 30-45 minute call with our recruiting team (We want to discuss your interests and motivations as well as the practical details and make sure that Flawless would be a good fit for you)

- Hiring Manager Screen: 45 minutes with our Technical Support Lead. This will be an opportunity for us to dive deep on your experience as well as give you an opportunity to learn more about the role, team and your potential manager.

- Skills Interview: 60 minutes, for this role, this will be a live programming test with 1-2 of our current TD team. These tests skew more practical. We want to see strong problem solving skills, as this will tackle a typical problem you might be asked to solve in your day to day.

- Team Interview: 60 minutes onsite Interview where you will meet some of your potential future colleagues. We will want to make sure that your ways of working will line up well with the team. This will also be a great chance to see the environment and meet some additional folks you could be working with.

Your Recruiter and hiring manager will be your main point of contact and prepare you for interviews. You'll meet 4 to 6 people from across the business. (We make sure that you have time in each interview to ask them questions). If we don't give an offer, we'll provide feedback

Why work at Flawless?

You will be working in an environment based on trust, autonomy and collaboration, and this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a growing company in its most exciting stage of development. You can play a part in shaping the future of a company that's caring, creative and collaborative.

In addition to this, you'll also receive:

- Autonomy

- A hybrid working environment

- Competitive Salary

- All permanent employees receive generous stock options

I don't meet all the listed requirements—should I still apply?

Absolutely Research shows that women and underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet every qualification, but at Flawless, we actively work to break down those barriers. We believe diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds make us stronger, and we are committed to supporting and elevating underrepresented talent. If you're excited about the role, share our values, and believe you can contribute meaningfully, we encourage you to apply—even if you don't meet every single requirement. Your unique skills and perspective matter, and we'd love to hear from you
