Audit Assistant

Ipswich

You'll be working alongside an experienced management group, delivering high-quality audit and financial reporting services to a wide variety of clients. This role is ideal for someone part-qualified in ACA/ACCA or AAT Level 4, who is eager to progress their career in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out audit assignments across financial statement areas with accuracy and minimal supervision.
  • Assist in producing both individual and consolidated financial statements under UK GAAP.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
  • Contribute to identifying opportunities for additional advisory services.
  • Manage tasks effectively to ensure regulatory compliance and project deadlines are met.
  • Monitor job budgets and communicate progress with managers.
  • Take part in training sessions to strengthen technical knowledge and personal skills.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues and provide guidance to junior team members.
  • Follow firm-wide risk management procedures and undertake additional duties as required.

Personal Requirements

  • Currently studying towards ACA or ACCA (part-qualified) or AAT Level 4 (if relevant).
  • Prior experience working with external clients.
  • Exposure to preparing financial statements and supporting tax computations.
  • Background in auditing organisations across various sectors, such as commercial and not-for-profit.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and accounting software packages.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Professional, discreet and client-focused with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Willingness to travel between as needed.
