Nurse Practitioner (Zero-Hours) – Shropdoc
Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner looking for a rewarding role where your expertise truly makes a difference? Join Shropdoc, where your clinical knowledge and compassion will support delivery of high-quality care three workstreams; Oncology and Haematology Helpline, Powys Care Co-ordination (CCC) including Single Point of Access (SPA) and Integrated Urgent care (IUC) for Powys.
We're seeking individuals who are flexible and committed, as this role primarily covers out-of-hours service delivery. If you're ready to play a vital role in supporting Shropdoc's clinical services and improving patient outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
The Nurse Practitioner (Zero-Hours) will provide advanced, autonomous, person-centred care within our 24/7 integrated triage and coordination service. You will work across both in-hours and out-of-hours provision to cover staffing needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Expert clinical assessment and care planning.
- Autonomous clinical decision-making.
- Acting as a clinical anchor across acute, primary, community, and voluntary sectors.
- Supporting patients with cancer, complex conditions, and urgent care requirements.

Skills
- Proven experience (at least 5 years) in patient care within a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to delivering empathetic patient support.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team

Pay: From £24.65 per hour
