We're continuing to grow at a rate of knots at Pelham, and we're looking for an experienced and energetic Purchasing Manager to join us to lead the development and execution of our purchasing strategy to deliver our exciting journey ahead.

At Pelham, purchasing performance is critical to our success. This role sits at the heart of the business, owning end-to-end purchasing activities, supplier performance and cost optimisation, while working closely with Operations, Technical, Quality, Sales and external partners to ensure consistent delivery against business-critical KPIs.

What you'll be doing:

· Co-developing, setting and executing Pelham's end-to-end purchasing strategy in line with business objectives and growth plans

· Managing the annual purchasing spend to ensure best value, quality and continuity of supply

· Leading strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation and contract negotiations to deliver measurable cost savings

· Creating and maintaining a robust supplier management framework covering quality, compliance, financial stability and sustainability

· Developing and managing supplier KPIs, performance reviews and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to improve OTIF and reduce risk

· Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve supply issues and protect customer delivery

· Driving continuous improvement across purchasing processes using Lean, data-driven and total cost of ownership (TCO) approaches

· Optimising purchasing systems, data and reporting, including ERP performance (Microsoft Business Central preferred)

· Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing purchasing team, including recruitment, appraisals and performance management

· Championing a culture of accountability, collaboration and operational excellence aligned with Pelham's values

What we're looking for:

· Extensive leadership experience in a Purchasing Manager role within a manufacturing environment

· Proven success managing significant purchasing budgets and delivering cost-saving initiatives

· Strong experience in supplier management, negotiations and performance improvement

· A coaching and empowerment mindset with confidence managing senior internal and external stakeholders

· Experience optimising ERP systems and purchasing data to support decision-making

· A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a relentless "can-do" attitude

· CIPS qualification (or equivalent) preferred

· Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth operational environments
