The Opportunity

Our Programme and Project Management team is growing, and we are seeking senior project managers with experience of leading major capital projects in the higher education, healthcare, science and industrial sectors to support our ambitious growth plans across the Midlands.

We have been involved in making a positive impact on the Midlands economy for over 50 years, with an outstanding portfolio of iconic and high-profile projects across the region, as well as supporting major national and international projects. A significant part of our work is in the design and development of some of the most functionally demanding buildings in the built environment.

Is this role right for you?

We seek applicants who have a passion for the design and successful delivery of high-performing, large scale and complex buildings, combined with a natural ability to collaborate with and win the confidence of clients.

These are strategic appointments, where progression and the opportunity to further develop your own ideas within a wider multi-disciplinary business will be very much supported and encouraged. An important part of the role will be to work in collaboration with peers across Arup's regional, national and international offices.

We fulfil a wide variety of programme and project management roles to support our clients, including strategic advisory services, business case development, leading multi-disciplinary capital projects, establishing client PMOs, providing procurement advice, contract administration, stakeholder management and leading project teams.

We are seeking senior project management professionals with relevant experience in any of the following sectors:

• Higher Education
• Healthcare
• Science
• Industry

Assignments are project management focussed where we support and advise our clients in developing estates strategy, business cases, design, procurement, contract administration, and construction of capital projects. Responsibilities will include leading, monitoring and managing the delivery of major capital projects, working with multi-disciplinary technical teams, managing multiple client stakeholders and developing and maintaining successful client relationships, and management of other project managers.

Requirements:

We are seeking programme and project professionals who:

• Have a relevant degree in project management, engineering or science.
• Are chartered by a relevant professional body or are interested in pursuing chartership.
• Have significant post-graduation experience and knowledge of project management or engineering consultancy or both.
• Can demonstrate a track record of leadership, project success and commercial acumen.
• Are a self-starter, client focused and skilled at developing relationships with a variety of professionals.
