Role Description
A day cleaner in an office space plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant working environment. Below is a list of typical duties and responsibilities that a day cleaner may be expected to perform:
General Cleaning:
- Clean and sanitise kitchen counters, sinks, and appliances (microwave, refrigerator, etc.).
- Empty trash bins and replace liners in kitchen and break room areas.
- Ensure that dishes and utensils are cleaned and stored properly.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
- Ensure restrooms are stocked and presentable at all times.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling throughout the office.
- Ensure that waste is sorted correctly according to recycling guidelines.
- Clean and set up meeting rooms before and after use, including arranging furniture and ensuring equipment is functional.
- Wipe down tables and chairs after meetings
- Maintain carpets by spot cleaning as needed.
- Sweep hard surface floors to ensure cleanliness
- Clean and sanitize high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and elevator buttons.
- Clean windows, glass doors, and partitions to ensure a clear and professional appearance.
- Monitor and report on cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that stock levels are maintained.
- Notify management when supplies need to be reordered.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Interact courteously with employees and visitors, addressing any cleaning-related concerns they may have.

Requirements:
Previous Experience In Commercial Cleaning Is Preferred.
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
Physical stamina to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and perform repetitive movements.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
