What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate a team of Assessment Officers in the effective, high-quality and customer-centric delivery of examinations services across the University.
  • Support the smooth-running of examinations and similar assessments (including programmes specific examinations, e.g. OSCEs).
  • Lead on the production of university examination timetables and schedules
  • Coordinate the operation of overseas examinations, ensuring that requests are handled in line with University policy, coordinating overseas venues and handling arrangements for papers and scripts.
  • Coordinate all arrangements for the production of examination papers, ensuring high quality assurance and accuracy.
  • Coordinate examination invigilation, including allocating, training and overseeing invigilators.
  • Coordinate the operation of University examination periods.
  • Ensure that examination procedures are strictly followed.

Qualifications/ experience:

  • Level 3 qualification, such A level or Access to Higher Education Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working in a student facing service
  • Experience of using a variety of IT packages to a high standard, including word processing packages, spreadsheets and databases
