At APT elevators we are a small lift firm specialising in lift removal, installation and modernisation. We have contracts across country and so flexibility in working area will be key to success with us.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lift Engineer to join team on either an employed or sole trader basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background within lift engineering with at least a level 3 NVQ in lift installation. This role requires a problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work to strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Taking charge of assigned jobs, identifying materials needed for job completion
  • Installation of multiple lift types to a high standard
  • Work tightly to client timelines, identifying and raising problems that may cause delays
  • working closely with apprentice when required, aiding in their skills and training

Requirements

  • At least a level 3 NVQ in lift installation required
  • Gold CSCS card required
  • SSSTS desirable
  • at least 2 years experience as a qualified lift engineer
  • experience working in a range of environments, including building sites and live buildings
  • Proficient in English and Maths
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work individually and occasionally as part of a team
  • Site leadership experience desirable
  • Ability to travel and work away from home if required
