Mechanical Engineer - Derry/Donegal, Northern Ireland - 3 months+

For an innovative and global client in the Data Centre industry we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a 3 month extendable contract.

The Role

  • Design and development of mechanical systems for new and existing data centres
  • Select equipment based on best practices, requirements, local protocols
  • Cooling, air handling, Chill water systems, HVAC optimisation
  • Ensure the mechanical division integrates with other systems seamlessly
  • Overview of commissioning for new and upgraded mechanical systems, develop commissioning plans
  • Identify any issues and resolve
  • Provide support, updates and liaise with stakeholders and different teams

Your Experience

  • Over 5 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Over 5 years experience in Data Centre design and construction or equivalent (mission critical environments)
  • Experience guiding and executing complex mechanical projects
  • Strong understanding of thermal management, power plants
  • Commissioning experience
  • Proactive and open minded individual with excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving, solution focused individual
