Psychology and Sociology Teacher – Outstanding School
An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school is seeking a versatile and passionate educator to join their team as a Psychology and Sociology Teacher. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering the unique opportunity to teach across two complementary social science disciplines at Key Stages 4 and 5.
Responsibilities:
The successful Psychology and Sociology Teacher will plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in both subjects, fostering critical thinking and a deep understanding of individual behaviour and societal structures. You will prepare students for success in relevant qualifications (GCSE and A-Level), developing their analytical and research skills. Assessing student progress, providing effective feedback, and contributing to the curricula are key responsibilities for this Psychology and Sociology Teacher role.
Requirements:
Applicants must be a qualified Psychology and Sociology Teacher (QTS) with a degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related field. Proven experience teaching both Psychology and Sociology at the secondary level (Key Stages 4 and 5) is essential. Strong subject knowledge in both disciplines, excellent communication skills, and effective classroom management are required. We are looking for an inspiring Psychology and Sociology Teacher.
