Apprenticeship Opportunities
Ealing Council has four exciting apprenticeship opportunities, for Ealing residents who are enthusiastic and highly motivated.
We are looking for applicants who are particularly interested working for the public sector to make a difference, by meeting the needs of a diverse community.
Apprenticeships are a great way to learn a range of new skills, knowledge and behaviours while working on the job. As an apprentice, you will get paid to work at Ealing council and will be fully supported to achieve your apprenticeship, with the potential to progress onto the next level or into a new role.
To successfully start an Ealing council apprenticeship, you will have to pass four competitive stages, followed by final background and reference checks.
Stage one is by submitting your CV and answering the following questions as part of your supporting statement:
- Why are you interested in an apprenticeship with Ealing Council, and what do you hope to gain from the experience.
- What interests you about working for a local authority like Ealing Council, and how do you think your role as an apprentice could make a difference in the community.
- Tell us about a challenge you've faced (in school, work, or life) and how you overcame it. What did the experience teach you.
- Tell us about a time when you had to manage multiple tasks or meet a tight deadline. How did you stay organised, and what was the outcome

- Under the rehabilitation of offender's act 1974 you must disclose any spent or unspent convictions. There are some service areas that will not be able to consider CV's where there are spent or unspent cautions or convictions. However, many of these apprenticeship placements can be considered, only if these are declared.
Whilst we will accept CVs from candidates that meet the above-mentioned minimum requirement, anyone with a level 3, 4 or above qualification, for example, a degree will still require a suitability check. This is to ensure that the person undertaking an apprenticeship, will learn new knowledge, skills and behaviours different to their education achievement and experiential attainment.
