Software Automation Engineer- London position - x3 days in the office required. Miller Maxwell has partnered with a cutting-edge fintech company that's redefining electronic trading through sleek, high-performance platforms. As part of their QA expansion, they're seeking a Software Automation Engineer with proven Frontend skills to ensure flawless user experiences across their web applications.

The Software Automation Engineer will:

  • Work to improve a high-performance trading solution, a core trading engine and work on several cloud-based solutions used globally.
  • Designing and executing automated front-end tests using Playwright and TypeScript
  • Collaborating with the internal full-stack team and product teams to validate UI functionality, responsiveness, and performance
  • QA and Automation test x10 in team, x20 in the full-stack team.
  • Building robust test suites that cover edge cases and real-world user flows
  • Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and improving test coverage across the board

The Software Automation Engineer will need:

  • Solid experience with front-end testing frameworks (Playwright preferred)
  • Strong TypeScript skills and confidence navigating modern web apps
  • A proactive mindset—someone who spots issues before users do
  • Bonus: exposure to trading platforms or financial services

For a Quick uptick within their environment, the Software Automation Engineer would be comfortable working with:

  • TypeScript, Playwright, Jest
  • GitHub Actions, Docker, and cloud-based test environments
  • Agile workflows with strong Dev/Test collaboration
